CATEGORIES
- Individuals / Families (Category A)
- Schools, Churches, Temples & Non-Profit Organizations (Category B)
- Kenjinkai (Japanese Prefectural Association of SoCal) (Category C)
- Theme: “PEACE”
JUDGING CRITERIA
Originality/Creativity of the use of flowers and streamers, and on Construction:
- Representation of the theme: Peace
- Design of kazari
- Use of paper (kazari should be mostly composed of paper)
Materials Not Recommended: Lightweight items such as foil or ribbon.
Construction Tip: Use heavy-duty scotch tape, double-sided tape, glue or thin wire to secure paper decorations.
If the kazari is over the maximum height, wideth or weight, it will be disqualified from the contest.
The kazari will be displayed but will not be entered in the contest.
Size and Weight Maximums:
- MAXIMUM HEIGHT: 8 feet
- MAXIMUM WIDTH: 22 inches
- MAXIMUM WEIGHT: 8 pounds

HOW TO ENTER:
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sat, Aug 3, 2024
Kazari not registered by the deadline will not be eligible for the contest and will be displayed only.
REGISTRATION FEE: $10 per KAZARI
KAZARI DROP-OFF DAY: Wednesday, August 7, 2024: 2pm – 5pm
and Thursday, August 8: 10am – 5pm
KAZARI PICK-UP DAY: Monday, August 19, 2024; 10am to 5pm
