NEW for the 2019, the Los Angeles Tanabata Festival (LATF) committee is opening the design of the official festival kazari to the general public! In previous years, the design of the official festival kazari came from Japan, but for 2019 the LATF wants to give the local community a chance to design the event kazari. Entries are free, but must follow all guidelines and be submitted by the end of March.
Note: This contest is not to be confused with the regular annual kazari contest. This is a new contest for the design of the official festival kazari only.
